RFID, Inc.’s high temperature RFID tags are proven in their survivability in applications from automotive manufacturing to downhole oil & gas pipes to laundry and autoclaving. Our broad selection of heat-resistant RFID tags offers everything from compact designs able to be inset into metal and vehicle tires to embedded wire tags capable of withstanding extreme temperatures.
Our high temperature metal tags use RFID technology, capable of reading meters within read range in varying frequencies of 125 KHz, 13.56 MHz and UHF 915 MHz with packaging materials of Nylon, Teflon, Ceramics, FR4, as well as some proprietary high temperature materials. Standard heat-resistant RFID tags are capable of 200 °C to 230 °C while extreme and ultra-high temperature RFID tags are capable of 300 °C and 400 °C. Common applications of heat-resistant RFID tags include automotive manufacturing, downhill drilling, and any manufacturing process requiring high heat.
High temperature RFID tags are designed for extreme heat applications by ensuring their protection from high temperatures and stress in manufacturing and industrial processes through encapsulation. For industrial systems using RFID technology, extreme temperature RFID tags are consistently chosen by a variety of industries to withstand the extreme temperatures of certain factory and warehouse environments.

13.56 MHz HF High Temperature RFID Tags
SKU HF-1572
High Temperature 13.56 MHz RFID Tags are typically applied to paint curing ovens or other high temperature processes found on the factory floor or in an industrial identification setting. Available with both ISO 15693 and 14443 NFC memory chips.
High Temperature 125 KHz RFID Tags are typically applied to paint curing oven applications or other high temperature processes found on the factory floor or in an industrial identification setting.
High Temperature 148 KHz RFID Tags are typically applied to paint curing oven applications or other high temperature processes found on the factory floor or in an industrial identification setting.
PCB/FR4 RFID Tags UHF 915 MHz offer a low profile and are designed to be applied to assets, servers, pallets or attachment to rigid item, and are adept in surviving high temperature RFID applications.
Ceramic UHF 915 MHz RFID tags offer metal mount ability as well as elevated temperature specifications. Ceramic RFID tags are also heat, water, and chemical resistant.
Ceramic RFID Tag Applications
Electrical components for automotive industry such as board and parts management
Surgical management and medical devices for medical industry
High Temperature RFID Tags range from 200°C to 400°C and most are designed to be mounted on metal (MOM). Generally speaking, FR4 & ABS packaging survives 200°C while Ceramic packages survive 230°C. Nylon packages survive 300°C and one particular Tag of metal packaging also capable of being welded for attachment is capable of 400°C. No High Temperature RFID Tag can be read while at maximum temperature thus several seconds of cooling may be necessary.
